Wedding DJ Services
I made my DJ-debut at the ripe age of 10, using two boomboxes to play tapes loaded with songs I painstakingly recorded from the radio. The event was an after-school dance I helped organized and set the stage for my life as a DJ.
I continued to DJ regularly throughout middle school, junior high and high school. I didn’t attend my senior prom, but I DJ’d nearly a dozen. In 2007 I founded a weekly Thursday night residency (along with my wife Abi and our best friend Michael) under the name Dead Hipster at the Badlander which quickly became the biggest and most popular dance party in Montana, a Missoula institution and lasted until we retired in early 2017.
That can mean many different things, for sure, but what I like to think it means can be summed-up as follows: I’m not a fan of the “YMCA”, I don’t talk on the microphone like a Top 40 radio host and my love and knowledge of music goes much, much deeper than what’s on the Most Requested Wedding Songs of the Year lists you can find on the Internet.
I began DJing weddings in 2012 and have since been a part of over 75 big days all across Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and even one in Wisconsin.
I specifically tailor the music to YOU. I have an online music questionnaire/personality test for you to fill out in advance that I use to get an idea of your likes and dislikes, specific requests, the overall vibe you're going for and then I take it from there. My number one goal with every wedding I play is to make it as personalized to the couple as humanly possible.
In addition to club gigs and weddings, I have:
-Performed with artists such as Diplo, Vampire Weekend and UNIIQU3.
-DJ'd events for companies like the Washington Corporation, Class Pass, Marketplace Media & Events and Montana Rail Link.
-Hosted radio shows for ALT 101.5 FM and KBGA College Radio.
